    Purchasing Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    • Source products and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices, delivery times and payment terms
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel primarily relating to company budgets/quotes to be approved by the General Manager
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of preparing purchase orders for production
    • Ensure purchase orders are issued seamlessly and meet the needs of the internal requester
    • Manage backorders and facilitate material returns
    • Create and follow through on purchase orders and production requirements from start to finish by following up after orders are placed and having clear confirmations from suppliers and logistics for deliveries
    • Update pricing databases for use in estimating
    • Work with the Accounts Payable department to manage invoices for approval, ensuring a thorough review of invoices for accuracy and validity
    • Work closely with logistics to coordinate shipments
    • Manage relationships with cross-border brokerage firms
    • Build and maintain relationships with Suppliers
    • Keep up with market trends and pricing changes
    • General data entry
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Certificate courses in purchasing fundamentals or supply chain management would be an asset
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
    • Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
    • Advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), SmartSheets and the ability to adapt to other software
    Robotics / Controls Engineer

    Automated Solutions and Products Inc. (ASAP) is a leader in engineering, design & development of robotic automated systems and equipment. We are currently looking to add a Robotics Technician who has a passion to learn or grow into a Controls Position in the near future. You will be working with the ASAP team to help develop and illustrate the solution to customer needs by programming to specifications for production requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Programming new and used robots
    • Program/implement safety on equipment that meets the local safety standards
    • Commissioning and startup of machines at customer locations
    • Develop ideas and make changes in automated cell to reduce cost and downtime
    • High Involvement in equipment installation
    • Ability to look for root cause analysis
    • Perform and schedule preventative maintenance activities
    • Repairs, installations, and maintenance of robotic equipment
    • Configuring and developing motion programs
    • Working with communication modules
    • Arrange program requirements in programming sequence, encodes program requirements
    • To be able to configure, set-up and commission from base model robot
    • Wide variety of robot applications.
    • Experience with Motoman, Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB
    • Develop application using robot simulation software
    • Responsible to develop and maintain high level of understanding of all aspects of robots in related industries.
    • Mentor fellow employees in robotic applications
    • Assist the sales and design departments with cost estimates and applications
    • Travel to job sites as required

    Qualifications

    • You have College or Industry Degree in Industrial Robot Applications with 2 – 10 years of experience
    • High Regard for Safety Requirements
    • Experience with Motoman, Fanuc, Kuka and ABB robots
    • Knowledge of Industry Standards
    • Strong Understanding of Robotic Systems
    • Able to do Qualitative / Quantitative analysis with robotic systems
    • Some working knowledge of PLC and HMI Programming

    Automated Solutions and Products Inc. is a high paced automation company that is an innovative leader in automation technology.  Our company is seeking Tool and Die Maker / Machinist candidates. This position is a day shift, full time, permanent position.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to work in a team or group environment with one common goal
    • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with limited instruction
    • Able to manufacture components precisely and efficiently from detailed drawings
    • Self thinker with the ability to produce parts from quick sketches with basic information to meet time sensitive parts requirements.
    • Ability to assemble manufactured components into a finished assembly
    • Automation experience, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, an asset
    • Flexible to work overtime and out-of-town as required
    • Positive attitude and willing to contribute solutions to problems freely.
